A First Look At Six Senses London: The Wellness Launch Set To Transform The City
The health-focused hospitality group is finally venturing into the UK, and it isn’t cutting any corners.
With a 25,000 sq ft spa, an Alchemy Bar, longevity medical clinic, floatation pod, cryotherapy chamber, aerial yoga studio, 20-metre pool, and a magnesium pool (the first to arrive in the city), the Six Senses London launch is set to be nothing short of spectacular for anyone invested in wellness — aka, the entire Grounded community.
Nestled inside The Whiteley, London’s first ever department store, it’s a short walk from Hyde Park, Notting Hill and Paddington, and promises to offer a “new rhythm for the city”. For anyone living in the unrelenting capital, this slowdown is sure to be well-welcomed. And the good news? It’s not solely reserved for those staying in the hotel’s 109 rooms.
For the first time ever, Six Senses is opening Six Senses Place, a private members’ club with the core aim of creating community — a key element so often missing from our everyday wellness routines. “Unlike traditional social member clubs, Six Senses Place integrates wellness, sustainability, and purpose into every aspect of its design and programming,” the team tells me.
Different membership tiers will unlock varying levels of perks, including access to holistic health services, immersive workshops, retreats across the world, and a community of like-minded individuals. More details of which will be revealed soon.
So who are they looking to welcome? “We look for individuals who are aligned with our values of sustainability, wellness, and community,” Six Senses say. Anyone interested can apply via the website, be referred by someone already within the network, or be invited directly by the club — should you be lucky enough to have connections.
If you’ve visited a Six Senses resort before, you’ll know the hospitality brand never disappoints on aesthetics. So not only is the new spa set to host an impressive range of facilities, it’s also guaranteed to feel particularly serene. The design is said to be inspired by an old underground station, creating a space that blends “high-tech wellness with hands-on healing to shift you between energy and stillness”.
Now, we just have to wait until early 2026 to see the space for ourselves. But one thing’s for sure: its launch is set to be loud and the membership waitlist, inevitably, long.
